This one is using an ipad from a static ISP in Liverpool:  (188.xxx-xxx-xxx) and seems to be taking an unhealthy interest in my past online activities, for at least 11 hours. This makes me wonder if new lies are being spun as we speak.

Which would be very, very bad for the people who own a couple of the top 911 website properties who have been informed this is exactly the sort of thing they should not do any more. 

No, I'm not talking about 911blogger, though if the owners of that dodgy website had honored my request to delete my account, and every post there, because I want nothing I've written to go to supporting a fraud...weeeell, I wouldn't know this creepy git--presumably a friend of theirs-was snooping about.

See, years ago, after being conned into trutherism, as soon as I realized something odd was going on, I took it upon myself to contact people who really know how the Internet works.  As a result, I know quite a bit about who has been lying about what.  And updates still come in.

The creeps should chew on that a mo.

After 2008, I always knew who was talking to whom, and that they were frauds.  I just didn't understand why.  It took a while to lose the idea these creeps were government agents, and see them for the political con artists they are.


Back to lurker. I could be wrong about them.  Maybe, he/she is just stumbled across that blog.  Except, as old as it is, the only way they could do that is through the old profile...that is only there because the owners of that dodgy website have not honored my request to delete my account and every post there.  Playing the odds, this is a creep working on some new creepiness.

Some advice?  Stop while you're ahead.

Cindy Sheehan, Davie Duke and blaming Israel or Oh, How We Have Fallen

On the other hand, can one really "fall" if they weren't what they claimed to be to begin with?

Cindy Sheehan was a celebrity in the anti-war movement during the Bush years, and her politics  appeared unequivocally to be from the left, for social justice, human rights, women;s rights, etc, etc.  How far left was she assumed to be?  If you'd told people back in 2003 that Sheehan would be endorsed by David Duke, at best you'd be laughed at, at worst you'd be assumed to be some sort of Republican operative.

Sheehan anti-war work begin soon after her son's death in 2004.  And while one wants to be sympathetic, one is annoyed when facts emerge that seem to support the conservative belief at that time that Sheehan had a dishonest political agenda:

  Imagine my distress when I turned Night Line on last night and I was conf=

ronted with the gory details of my son's murder in Sadr City, Baghdad, Iraq=

at you presented to the American public.


  I was on the Night Line Townhall Meeting in Washington, DC on 01/27/05. A=

fter I spoke (which I think was a fluke), Ted Koppel dismissed me as being =

"emotional." First of all, how can I approach this discussion without emoti=

ons, MY SON WAS KILLED, AND KILLED FOR LIES? Second of all, that show was n=

ot fair and balanced and I think the conclusion "Should we stay" was forego=

ne.


  The show last night was also not fair and balanced. To see all the wives =

being interviewed who had not lost their husbands and to hear what "hard wo=

rk" it is to be left behind when their husbands are at war. How hard to you=

 think it is to have a child killed in an illegal and immoral war? In this =

"wonderful" group of families left behind, we had exactly ONE of the wives =

call us..she is Diane Rose who was my son's Colonel, Frank Rose's wife. The=

 last time we heard from Diane was in October and we feel we have been left=

 behind by anyone connected to the 2-5 Cavalry. Is support only given if yo=

ur loved one stays alive? One wife was quoted as saying that Sundays were t=

he hardest for the families left behind. My son was killed on Palm Sunday l=

ast year..how does anybody think Sundays are for my family?


  A distraught father who lost his son was shown telling how much his life =

was so adversely affected. Why wasn't a mother (like me) who has been an ou=

tspoken critic of this war and of the President's policies interviewed for =

this piece? Why wasn't I given a chance to talk about 04/04/04 and the seri=

es of lies, mistakes and miscalculations that led to my precious oldest chi=

ld's death??


  General Chiarelli was quoted as saying that 04/04/04 was a "wake up" call=

 to the 2-5 Cavalry. If he thinks it was a "wake up" call, let me tell you =

how having 3 Army officers come to my door on 04/04/04 and tell me that my =

darling son was KIA. I have learned so many details of that day and of my s=

on's experience in Iraq.


  The very first thing that went wrong happened in November at Ft Irwin, Ca=

lifornia...the 2-5 Cavalry went for desert training. They received open des=

ert warfare training and my son was killed in an urban guerilla attack, whi=

ch he hadn't been trained for. Also, he was wearing an inadequate helmet an=

d a Vietnam era flak jacket. Casey was stationed in a very dangerous place,=

 like the General said: FOB War Eagle. I have subsequently learned that the=

 soldiers of the 2-5 Cav who were stationed outside of Baghdad had Kevlar b=

ody armor. I have also found out that Casey slept in the back of his Humvee=

 for the last 2 weeks of his life because there wasn't any room on post for=

 him to have a cot. How tired and overworked was he before he went into tha=

t battle on 04/04/04?


  In addition, my son was killed after L. Paul Bremer inflamed the Shi'a by=

 taking away their tv station and newspapers. The Abu Ghraib scandal was ab=

out to break in America...but it was well known by the Iraqi people that th=

eir citizens were being tortured and defiled in the prisons. My son was a s=

itting duck by the time 04/04/04 rolled around.


  The very worst thing of all, is that my son was sent to rescue some fello=

w soldiers trapped in an ambush in the back of a LMTV..which is basically a=

n open air trailer. It would be the equivalent of driving through Dallas on=

 11/22/63 in a Convertible. The troops stationed at FOB War Eagle were sent=

 ahead of their tanks and Bradleys!!! They had to go into battle in the bac=

k of LMTV's and non-armored Humvees. This is just proof to me that our troo=

ps are as important to their leaders as bullets are. It is a small miracle =

that only 7 of them were killed in the ambush. Luckily for the rest of the =

moms, it was dark. After my son's murder, there was an article in Stars and=

 Stripes that quoted one of Casey's superior officers as saying. "04 April =

taught us a lesson. We won't send soldiers to battle without their armor an=

y more." How do you think that made me feel? It was like "OOOPS, your dear =

son was killed. Life happens. Oh well, you live and learn." The General was=

 also quoted as saying that the insurgency "surprised" them. Why? Has there=

 ever been an invasion/occupation of a sovereign country that hasn't been r=

esisted? Anyone with half a brain and an even rudimentary understanding of =

history would know that all occupations are resisted. The Pentagon and the =

Army brass did not plan adequately for an occupation.


  Then Gen. Chiarelli said the thing that upset me the most. He said that t=

he loss of life was terrible, but at least Iraqis had elections on 01/30/05=

. With the continuuing insurgency and with Iraqis and Americans losing thei=

r lives everyday there, how can he be proud of that? I may remind you and t=

he General, that Iraqi elections was not the reason that our President and =

his Neo-Con war mongers invaded Iraq with our precious human resources. I w=

ill give the two reasons given for the invaseion here: Saddam had WMD's and=

 he was an imminent threat to America. Saddam could have WMD's on our shore=

s within 45 minutes. Condoleeza Rice used fear as a factor when she said: D=

on't let the smoking gun be a mushroom cloud. Rumsfeld and Colin Powell poi=

nted out to us where the weapons were on a map.


  The second reason that America was given before the invasion was that Sad=

dam was the biggest sponsor of world terrorism and he supported Osama Bin L=

aden! Oh really??? The hijackers were predominantly Saudi Arabian as was Os=

ama (who is still at large, by the way). The theory that Saddam had anythin=

g to do with 9/11 was disproven by the 9/11 commission's report. A huge fac=

tor in Americans believing all this bull is that our media..the Fourth Esta=

te didn't do any research and expose the lies for what they were: justifica=

tions for invading a country that posed no imminent or long-term threat to =

America.


  One reason that the President DID NOT give for the invasion and occupatio=

n of Iraq was so that Iraqis could have elections. As a matter of fact, tha=

t was Ayatollah Ali al Sistani's idea..not Bush's. If the president in his =

lying and betraying in the lead up and rush to this insane invasion had tol=

d the world that we were going over there to give Iraqi's elections, would =

we the people have gone along with the invasion? Would we as compassionate =

Americans have thought that it would have been worth billions and billions =

of dollars; hundreds of our amazing children dead; tens of thousands of inn=

ocent Iraqi women and children dead: a country lying in ruins? I don't thin=

k so. I certainly didn't raise my son to be an outstanding citizen of the w=

orld to go and die so some people could have ink-stained fingers!!! If anyo=

ne reading this has children, would you think it was worth it?? Instead of =

some Congress leaders showing ink-stained fingers at the SOTU address they =

should have held up blood soaked hands.

ned the Army to protect America, not Israel. Am I stupid? No, I know full-w=

George Bush who was influenced by the neo-con PNAC agenda after 9/11. We we=

re told that we were attacked on 9/11 because the terrorists hate our freed=

oms and democracy...not for the real reason, becuase the Arab-Muslims who a=

ttacked us hate our middle-eastern foreign policy. That hasn't changed sinc=

e America invaded and occupied Iraq...in fact it has gotten worse.

  It would be so amazing if your show would put me, or another parent who l=

ost their child on who disagrees with the war and this administration: to h=

ave just an entire show..without presenting the false side of the debate. T=

hat would take a lot of courage and integrity. I hope your program will exh=

ibit these qualities.


  I also think that Mr. Koppel owes me an apology for the rude way I was tr=

eated on his show. After I expressed myself about the war being based on li=

es and that the troops should be brought home immediately because the war w=

as based on lies, I was not thanked for my comments, or my son's sacrifice.=

 He just said to keep the discussion away from emotions. Then, the wife of =

a soldier who was killed was allowed to speak and she praised the policies =

of this deplorable and despicable administration, and she was thanked and p=

raised by the panel.=20


  Also, another aspect that Mr. Koppel refused to acknowledge was when a ma=

n walked up to a microphone and asked Richard Perle to explain PNAC..he was=

 rudely ignored.=20


  I am so glad the First Cavalry came home from this senseless and needless=

 war based on the imaginations of Neo-Cons and fought with ignorance and ar=

rogance by the Commander in Chief and the Pentagon. I am thrilled for the m=

others whose children didn't come home under the cover of darkness in flag-=

draped boxes like my son did. I am sure that some of Casey's buddies were a=

ble to walk off the plane because of his sacrifice. I am just so deeply sor=

ry that my son's blood had to be their leaders' lesson in how to occupy a c=

ountry and fight an insurgency. My son is dead forever and my joy has been =

robbed from me for the rest of my life.


  Your show needs to show both sides of this debate and stop being a propan=

da tool for this administration. This is my challenge to you from a true pa=

triot who wants the lies exposed.

I do believe that the Palestinian issue is a hot issue that needs to be solved and it needs to be more fair and equitable but I never said my son died for Israel.

COOPER: OK, I'm glad I asked you that because, you know, as you know, there's tons of stuff floating around on the Internet on sites of all political persuasions.

SHEEHAN: I know and that's not -- yes.

 Of course, it's a conspiracy:

After Slate published an extract from a letter that she wrote last March to ABC Nightline, Anderson Cooper of CNN asked her about the anti-Israel remarks the letter contained. She denied making them and proceeded in her blog to assert that someone had gotten hold of her original letter and somehow doctored it. This dark and murky allegation—evincing further paranoia on her part—has been easily and convincingly refuted, as can be seen in this sidebar. Cindy Sheehan, not content with echoing the Bin-Ladenist line that the president is the real "terrorist" and that he is the tool of a Jewish cabal, has dug a pit of falsehood around her own wild story.

Cindy Sheehan has denied that she wrote certain parts of the March 15, 2005, letter that was e-mailed to Nightline in her name. This was the letter quoted in Slate's Aug. 15 Fighting Words column. Specifically, Sheehan claimed that her letter was doctored after the fact to include anti-Israel language. Here is the controversial passage:

Was the letter doctored? Or did she write the anti-Israel language in it?

In March, after participating in a Nightline town hall meeting, Cindy Sheehan wrote a letter and e-mailed it to James Morris—an anti-Zionist activist—who forwarded it at her request to Nightline Executive Producer Tom Bettag. Sheehan admits this, and Nightline spokesperson Emily Lenzner has confirmed that Bettag received Sheehan's e-mail via Morris on March 15.

On Aug. 15, Anderson Cooper asked her about the anti-Zionist statements contained in the letter, and she denied having made them. Sheehan then claimed that Morris doctored her Nightline letter. On Aug. 17, she wrote in her blog:

Another "big deal" today was the lie that I had said that Casey died for Israel. I never said that, I never wrote that. I had supposedly said it in a letter that I wrote to Ted Koppel's producer in March. I wrote the letter because I was upset at the way Ted treated me when I appeared at a Nightline Town Hall meeting in January right after the inauguration. I felt that Ted had totally disrespected me. I wrote the letter to Ted Bettag [sic] and cc'd a copy to the person who gave me Ted's [sic] address. I believe he changed the email and sent it out to capitalize on my new found notoriety by promoting his own agenda.

[Note: Sheehan misremembered when she said that she cc'd it. Nightline and Morris both confirm that she sent the letter to Morris, who forwarded it to Bettag.]

Sheehan subsequently implied, through a spokesperson at Fenton Communications, that Morris had hacked into her e-mail. Later, Fenton Communications and Sheehan backed off the hacking claim, but both maintain that the words in the letter about Israel are not her own. For his part, Morris denies having tampered with the letter and confirms that the version circulating is the same as the one she sent to him.

There is other proof that Sheehan wrote the whole letter. After she sent the letter to Morris, Sheehan also e-mailed it to several other people, including Tony Tersch, a retiree living in Thailand, and Skeeter Gallagher. Both belong to a small Internet bulletin board called Bull Yard. Tersch had become her correspondent after contacting her out of personal and political sympathy. At Gallagher's request, Tersch posted Sheehan's letter to Bull Yard on March 17. Here is the letter as it appears there. This is the version that has been circulating, and from which Slate quoted. Tersch has confirmed that he received the letter from Sheehan directly and has stated that he did not doctor the e-mail before posting it.

Unless Sheehan is the victim of an elaborate Morris-Tersch conspiracy quietly put in motion on March 17, months before she became famous, those are her words.—By Blake Wilson

Sheehan's excuses--someone hacked me, not my words, etc--echo Ron Paul's dissembling over his racist newsletter, but I digress.

It has taken years, but it's more and more obvious that Ms. Sheehan was never what she claimed to be, a left antiwar activist. In fact she appears to have, from the beginning had a sympathy for the fringe right politics,  thus explaining the support she garnered from that quarter, seen by leftists as anomalies in her activist career.  They weren't anomalies, they were flags:

Kelso is a supporter of the supposed Republican Ron Paul's (aka RuPaul) presidential campaign. A recent post from Little Green Footballs shows photos of Paul with the owner of the Stormfront hate site, Don Black and Black's son. The photos were allegedly taken by Kelso.

Duke and Kelso have been open supporters of Cindy Sheehan, something ignored by the liberal MSM.

I'm going to dispute "ignored".  More like had no idea it was going on or where to look. 

I know for a fact when the fake antiwar truther brigade recruits, they try to hide as long as possible their racist connections.  I don't know what the theory is: that by the time you know, they can blackmail you?  It never occurs to them one will be so pissed at being tricked by Nazi apologist they won't care?  Dunno.  Racism clearly makes people stupid.

The conclusion to draw from this is not that being against the war is racist or anything like that. The conclusion to draw is that Cindy Sheehan's anti-war views or so off-the-wall nutty that rabid anti-semitic kooks like David Duke agree with her.

This speaks to the validity of Cindy Sheehan's reasons for opposing the war, which seem to have more to do a vague distates for Israel than a lot of the leftist demagogues trumpeting her cause would like to admit.

This is not a coincidence.  A left anti war activist does not magically get support from the racist right unless the racist right has reason to believe that activist really supports one of their agendas.  An left anti war activist never supports an agenda of the racist right.     

A lesson can be taken away from all this for naive leftists who thought the could make alliances with conservatives over the Iraq war:   if your "alliance" includes anyone with any connection to racist groups or fringe right politics, you CANNOT make an alliance and stay true to your principles.

Sheehan fooled people for a long time.  Her Wikipeidia page still reads like she a mover and shaker in liberal(Americal definition) politics, but the truth is she's embraced the far right, Tea Party, libertarian fringe.  After all, that's how they're going to take roll call, with Sheehan 2014 Gubernatorial publicity stunt:   www.cindy2014.org/

I'm calling it:  whatever the turnout is, it will be used as "proof" of a silent majority. 
Variation:   if Sheehan doesn't even run a real campaign, the turnout will be used as "proof" of a vast grassroots effort.  Actually all that proves is these lying,  scammy, closet racists use private email lists and internet boards to organize. 

This also gives some insight into what was really happening during Webster Tarpley's Kennebunkpport Hoax, supposedly attacking Sheehan and three other activists.  One has to look as the predictable result of that hoax:  the few truthers committed to the antiwar movement rallied around her.  Nice way to keep track of them.   Now years later, someone pointed out to me Kevin Barrett, a supporter of the Kennebunkport Hoax and and who, to this day, supports Tarpley's ridiculous COINTELPRO accusations,  interviewed Cindy Sheehan this year.

It took 7 years but the cat's out of the bag.  Sheehan is a fraud using the antiwar movement to gain credibility and push ridiculous anti-Jewish conspiracy theories.   A bit like she's using her son's death as a weak anti-tax platform:

Sheehan is being sued by the IRS for failure to pay taxes. "I feel like I gave my son to this country in an illegal and immoral war. I'll never get him back," Sheehan said. "And, so, if they can give me my son back, then I'll pay my taxes. And that's not going to happen."

The way these things play out is usually some sort of stand off/publicity stunt orchestrated by the Patriot/Tea Party/ Militia crowd to "prove" we are living in a "police state".   Ed and Elaine Brown are perfect examples, as their loudest fan was a man called Fred Smart, active in the Libertarian Party and patron of Rosalee Grable aka Webfairy.  

It's hard to tell if Sheehan is a pasty or a player.  She dissembles like a player, someone who knows she's lying.  But she acts like a pasty in other ways.  Like not paying taxes that I assume she can  pay.  Really?  How does she think that's going to end well?    It could be Sheehan has worked herself into a position where she quite literally can't do anything else for a living but be an "activist".   I expect most of her liberal contacts have distanced themselves from her and she's surrounded by Tea Party, "truthers" and fringe loons.  I would be a little sympathetic except....I find it hard to believe she doesn't know the 911 truth movement is all a con by now.

Postscript: some of us have not forgotten Sheehan, sometime in 2009ish, unfriended a Facebook user and Sheehan supporter while spreading lies he was "stalking" or involved with "stalking" her. As far as I know, Sheehan has never apologized for this.  It was the first time I started to wonder about her trip and how she could be so gullible.  Turns out she knew what she was doing all along.

It took some of us a while to see the con.

I've removed reference to being Jewish as a matter of religion - being a member of Jewish organizations does not necessarily imply that one is a practicing Jew or a believer.  The person who set this website up did so claiming to expose "disinformation", which was apparently easier for him to see online, than the Larouche clowns he was surrounded by constantly on the streets of New York during his "truthing".  For years. 

Anyway, the warning is supposed to reassure readers the website is satire and "9/11 Truth is Not about Hate".

Well, it's certainly true people from the left duped into pushing "truth" are meant to believe the movement is not about hate.  And technically it isn't per se, so much and recruiting a political base for fringe right politicians like Ron Paul, and maybe to make some $$$$ selling DVDs.  But to recruit that base it is essential that all the sheeple are tolerant or the Nazis/Racists/ and other hate mongers.  And it's essential to speak directly to the white power base and not alienate them.  Because, between the two, left progressives and the white power Nazis, the Nazis were always more valued members of the "truther" community.  So no, it wasn';t about Hate, it was just about pandering to any warm body, including racists.

What a sleazy little liar.  The website actually was  a kind of honey pot for hard core anti racists who had been duped by "da truth".  The webmaster himself has lied so many times about his intentions and activities, I've lost count.   Not including the fake temper tantrums he's thrown, hoping people will include him in their confidence to mollify him.  Truly pathetic.  But it's instructive to examine the original by way of examining the satire.

The second editorial edit reads:

Actually, no.  There are loads of large social groups who have no significant population of racists or Nazis.  Last count, round about MOST of them.   The fact 911 "truth" has so many was a clue it was a racist front from the start.  He goes on:

 At the time he wrote this, in terms of sheer numbers, he was probably right. Much effort has gone into obfuscating the racist fringe politics that founded 911 "truth".  It doesn't change the fact is was founded by racists and all the major leaders are tolerant of persons blaming the Jews.

 I assume he means "truth", not blaming the Jews.  I have no idea where these figures came from, but the are complete garbage.  Amnesty International, a real activist group, can claim 3 million members globally.

 But 911 "truth" has never been in Amnesty International's league.  The closet the "movement" can claim would be something like the Ron Paul/Patriot movement.   Looking at thhe voting numbers would be a better way to gauge actual interest. Popular vote totals for the Repulican Primary in 2012 give Ron Paul over 2 million: 2,095,762.

9/11 Truth and Ron Paul aren't a perfect overlap.  But the political base is the same as what the leaders expect.  One might extrapolote from these figures an interest in 9/11 Truth  globally of a couple of million, but not "Tens of Millions."

And good on them.  My only criticism is the MSM not doing decisive research to put to rest the idea there are "legions" of truthers "out there".

Yes.... and no.  While it is true government and intelligence agencies engaged in less than honorable activities have spread about disinformation, I am 100% certain this is NOT the case in the 911 "truth" movement.   The evidence (and it is voluminous) points to the archetects of so called "disinformation" in 911 "truth"...as the very leaders of the movement themselves.  Including the idot who set up this satire website.

Why would they do this?  Several reasons:  branding, creating their own competition, reinforcing the conspiracy world view that "they" are out to get people, and handily throwing their racist base bones to boot.  The thing Fetzer, Gage, Jones and all the rest fear the most is being investigated for fraud by real authorities.  The second thing they fear is the idea they've deliberately made this conspiracy scam getting any traction among the more intelligent and clearer thinking sheeple, seeing as it will inevitably lead to being investigated, etc.   But send out a constant message of paranoia about disinformation, cointelpro, agents, shills, etc., and, even when a sheeple uncovers a fraud, they will assume a vast spooky network is behind it and fail to go something effective and sensible, like going to the FTC or the FBI.  

Disinformation does exist, but not in 911 "truth", because 911 "truth" was fringe rightwing disinformation from the start.

The next editorial objects:

"There are links to 911truth.org all over.  That in no way represents a relationship between the two sites". 

And here we start to get to the point of the satire website: obfuscation.  Because there actually is a connection between Janice Matthews who ran 911truth.org and Ed Kendrick that goes back to 2006.  But that will be the subject of another blog. Note if the webmaster hadn't made his suspiciously specific denial, no one would have researched to find what connections might exist.

We as members of the 9/11 Truth community deplore all forms of hatred and violence, including the unprovoked murderous attack by James von Brunn on June 10, 2009, in the Washington Holocaust museum. We also deplore peddlers of hatred who use such events for their own purposes, such as Glenn Beck, who recently said that von Brunn, because of his attack, was now "a hero in the 9/11Truther movement," which "would like to destroy the country" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQnfJeUzzKk).
There is no foundation whatsoever for these flagrant lies. Beck intentionally overlooks the fact that he shares Von Brunn's views on the Federal Reserve (stating "it's totally fine to speak out against the Fed"), views that von Brunn acted upon when he tried to arrest the Fed's Board with a bag of weapons in tow. Beck essentially overlooks the fact that von Brunn took action on his White Supremacist views, leading him to murder a Black guard in a Jewish museum. Yet Beck cautions viewers that 9/11 Truth advocates pose a graver threat, and are bent on working with al Qaeda to destroy the nation. ("... people like white supremacists or 9/11 truthers that would also like to destroy the country. They’ll work with anybody they can.")
Beck ostensibly encourages thinking for oneself, questioning authority and holding people to account when it comes to the Fed, yet when it comes to the crimes of 9/11, the mere act of questioning is treasonous, fraught with potential dangers on a scale that threatens the nation itself. Beck facilitates the unfounded, concerted effort to equate all 9/11 Truth advocates with anti-Semites, a propaganda tactic to minimize and demonize dissenting views. Like von Brunn, Beck advocates hatred for those who hold views counter to his own.

Is that the same Kendrick he claimed there was little evidence of Eddies activities in 9/11 "truth"?  Looks like the joke is on "Jules".

There is more evidence of Kendricks involvement in 911Truth, but that will do for now. The point is both these websites are pushing a fraud with disinformation.  The first by using propaganda to blame the Jews to rally racists, and the second uses propaganda to try to keep leftist truthers involved by claiming to confront "disinfo". 

Why was the webmaster unable to find Kendrick involvement in 9/11 truth, going back years?  The answer is two fold:  one, my guess is he knew about it just fine, but he had an agenda.  It is my informed speculation he wanted to get the confidence of anti racist "truthers".

Why?  Any number of reasons, but mostly to  gather information to manipulate them better.  Part of this dance was participating in a private group in a private forum at truthaction.  In this way he, and people like him, could ask loaded questions like: Does anybody know/know about X?

It is assumed people asking these questions are looking for information they don't have.  But in the case of the frauds, they're trying to find out what you know, so they can play dumb about what they know, and try to manipulate with flattery:  "Really?  Gosh your're so smart!"  Since Jules didn't get feedback people people like me knew much of the guy, he didn't see a reason to share Eddie's history which is not t difficult to find if you claim to know how to use the Internet. 

So why didn't the rest of us dig more?  It was "Jules" who brought Eddie up, so we expected "Jules" would volunteer what put Eddie on the radar.  The only information he shared was this website, leaving the impression Eddie was only a dabbler in "truth", when his history goes back to the mid 2000's like all the other big "truther" personalities.


There were many private forum questions about the Rediscover911 website and Ashley's involvement...which I don't recall ever including: "Oh yeah, I've approved his events at our Scholars blog."
(This is the same woman who claims to spot a hoax a mile away...unless it involves Earth Quake machines.) 

So yes, Rediscover911.com is disinformation, disinformation put out by the very same "Truth" movement to manipulate the sheeple they've conned into accepting a conspiracy world view, with the satire website the perfect foil:

At 30 years old, Avery is still dealing with the aftershocks of his movie, which he released in December 2005 when he was just 21. In a matter of months, Loose Change had been viewed on the Internet more than 10 million times, by 20,000 people per day (All before YouTube was a household name). Suddenly, Avery became a youth icon and a kind of national celebrity, galvanizing the 9/11 Truth Movement—those who fervently believed the Sept. 11 attacks were coordinated by the U.S. government.
He was referred to as “a real hero” and earned praise from renowned artists like director David Lynch, who said of the film: “It’s not so much what they say, it’s the things that make you look at what you thought you saw in a different light.”

Even now, the second edition’s appeal is obvious. The presentation is rough and edgy, a compilation of stitched-together images culled from raw TV news coverage of 9/11, set against a backdrop of hypnotic hip-hop beats. For 80 minutes, Avery, in his distinctly skeptical post-adolescent voice—the sound of youthful arrogance—directs the viewer’s attention to suspicious activity, basically saying what to think.
Early on, for instance, there is a picture from the Department of Justice’s terrorism manual, released in 2000, that shows the World Trade Center set in crosshairs. Soon afterward, a sentence from “Rebuilding America’s Defenses,” a 90-page report published that same year by a neoconservative think tank, pops up on the screen: “The process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event—like a new Pearl Harbor.” (The quote’s context, describing a timetable for a technological makeover of the military, is conveniently left out of the narrative.)

Bold mine.  This was one of the many dishonest  and deceptive pieces of propaganda and Avery didn't start it.  He just fell for it.

Avery then points out that Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld are among the report’s authors, the setup for a key assertion that comes later in the film: The twin towers, made of steel, could not have been brought down solely by airliners, since steel melts at 2,750 degrees while jet fuel burns up at 1,500. We watch grainy footage of the structures collapsing, the nature of the destruction apparently consistent with that of a controlled demolition. Taken together, the sequence is enormously effective (though debunkers were quick to point out that steel loses half its strength at 1,200 degrees, enough to have brought down the towers).

So much for termites, er, thermite.

 “It came out when the 9/11 Truth Movement was at its peak,” says Jonathan Kay, author of Among the Truthers. “All this new technology was available. At the time, people were not used to grassroots activists making high-quality video propaganda. People assumed that if it had high production values, it was something to take seriously.

Kay, dense or oblivious about other connections in the "truth" movement, makes a very good point here that can be expanded into all sorts of promotions: T-shirts, webdesign, signage, etc.   It used to take a significant investment of resources and skills to create and print logos.  Now branding can be virtually instant and distinguishing a legitimate grassroots organization from conspiracy astroturf is almost impossible based on  production values alone.  [One of the more pathetic attempts to appear grassroots that's still used is crude signage in black felt or tape.  In the post digital world it just looks strange.]  

When the boys were 17, Rowe dropped out of high school and eventually enlisted in the Army, while Avery applied to film school, at SUNY Oneonta, but didn’t get in. After he graduated, in 2002, he took a job doing local construction and began to sketch out a screenplay. It was a fantastical caper about a couple of boys who, sensing something nefarious, decide to investigate 9/11, unearthing a vast conspiracy and becoming heroes in the process. “It was fun,” Avery explains. “About kids fucking shit up. The original script ended with a rally on the White House lawn, and then I think we all fake our own deaths.”
The plan was to splice the fictional story with real-life news footage, but then it turned into a documentary. “It was kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy,” he admits. “The feature script definitely paved the way for what was about to come.”

Hindsight being 20/20 it could also have been a flag for the psychological yearnings behind the fiction, yearnings that could be played.   

The next two years were a whirlwind. The boys toured the country, screening their film and attending Truth conferences, where they were the stars. They were courted by Alex Jones, the rabid conservative conspiracy theorist and radio host who, among other things, believes the MSG found in juice boxes and kettle chips is part of a “chemical warfare operation” to spread homosexuality. He was at the forefront of the Truth Movement and rubbed shoulders with celebrities like Charlie Sheen, who was a Truther himself and a big fan of Loose Change. In early fall 2006, Jones facilitated an introduction between Sheen and the boys, suggesting the actor might narrate the next version of the movie, which would, with his cache, lead to a theatrical release.

From here the rest is a foregone conclusion:  the rise, the heady feeling of self importance inflated by ego flattering "minders",   the attempts at manipulation, some successful, some not:

 Avery was tired and beginning to grow wary of both the Truth Movement and his place in it. “There were anti-Semites saying the Israeli intelligence agency pulled off 9/11,” he says. “They wanted me to put that stuff in my films.” In a bizarre twist, some in the movement accused him of working for the government, conducting a disinformation campaign to discredit Truthers.

This is one of the many signs Avery and others were drawn into a complex political fraud instigated by Holocaust deniers and White Power organizers.  that and the perennial lie there are "agents" in the movement.

Others, who disagreed with his ideas, berated him on a popular blog called Screw Loose Change, where commenters regularly said things like, “Jeez, fucking Hitler must be proud of Dylan.”

Ironically Screw Loose Change was one of the worst enablers of the "truther" fraud.  By refusing to distinguish between people inventing the theories and the people conned by them, they validated the con.  Calling everyone scammed by the "truth" movement a Nazi is not helpful and appears to confirm the false idea of "agents" spreading "disinfo".

“Loose Change happened because I wanted to make a film,” he said. “It was born out of the passion of wanting to be a filmmaker. And then Loose Change took over my life, and it’s almost like filmmaking is completely out of the question.”

Yet he’s excited about his new film, Black and Blue, especially because it’s grounded in fact-based stories, not theories, about people who have been abused by the police. And though questions still linger about 9/11, such as why, on Sept. 6, 2001, the daily average for put-options on United Airlines stock quadrupled, he no longer tortures himself with speculation. “In my truly angry times, in 2005 or 2006, if you asked if the Bush administration planned the attacks, I would have said, ‘Fuck yeah’.”
But now?
“I don’t think Bush could plan a bowl of cereal,” he says.

 Avery is silent for a moment. “It’s a dark, dangerous world, the world of conspiracy. You make a commitment and either stick with it to the very end, or you don’t. It’s easy to get sucked in, and really hard to get sucked back out.”

 I don't know.  The minute I knew a network of racist con artists were behind all the major "truther" talking points, it was really easy for me.

My biggest criticism of the interview is  Vocative itself, a relatively new media outlet.  It's great Dylan is coming forth with his story, but try to chose a media platform with a history, like Huffo or Salon.  No offense to "vocative", but it's only a year old:

Kochavi is an entrepreneur owning a security firm AGT International and 3i-MIND, a data-mining outlet.^[5] In February, 2014, Vocativ announced a partnership with the NBCUniversal News Group to produce short video segments and prime time hours for the MSNBC cable network and other NBCUNG platforms. The New York Times reported that the chief executive of talent agency William Morris Endeavor, Ari Emmanuel, had taken a personal interest in Vocativ and that his company was negotiating for an equity stake.^[6]

Those who have broken free of the "truth" movement need to be on guard against unconsciously falling into old patterns. This has the marks of Avery shunning the "mainstream media".  If he thought about it a moment, the mainstream media wasn't responsible for most of the attacks; it was cowboy bloggers operating off deceptive information, usually obtained from con artists and social engineers.  And while MSM is not undeserving of criticism, they are far and away more responsible than cowboy bloggers with an ax to grind against the left.

Over a week after the controlled dissent Russia Today event, various idiots on Facebook are claiming the Ukrainian protesters are Nazis or anti-semites or some such...(bit ironic as most of the sheeple pushing these memes push a hella mucho anti-semite conspiracy crap):

Oh I see; the west plan to continue with their hypocrisy in complete disregard of the fact that 90% of Crimea wish to secede from the illegally imposed government of Ukraine.

The newly "created" ultra nationalist government of Ukraine wishes to marginalise/victimise ethnic Russians of which the territory of Crimea is predominately made up of. So it is not only the "will of the people" which is normally enough to make any newly forged country legal, it is arguably to prevent a new harsh and deadly reality of a government coming to power which is going to oppress them.

These so called leaders that now say "ILLEGAL" to this vote by a territory's people are so obviously puppets of western corporate and military interests and obviously don't give a flying fk about the safety or the desire of the people of Crimea. Shame on all of you...

Is there any source to these claims?

-90% of Crimea want to secede
-the Ukraine government is "illegally imposed"  
-the Ukraine government is newly "created" and ultra nationalist
-they want to marginalize/victimise Russians

The Kremlin describes last month's uprising in next-door Ukraine as an illegitimate fascist coup. It says dark rightwing forces have taken over the government, forcing Moscow to "protect" Ukraine's ethnic Russian minority. The local government in Crimea is preparing for a referendum on Sunday which could lead to Russia annexing the region. Yanukovych, meanwhile, has fled to Russia.
Schilling, however, was an unlikely fascist. A father of two daughters, he and his wife Anna had lived in Italy. They had four grandchildren. Moreover, he was Jewish.

Oops.  Not that it's possible to be Jewish and support fascist; that is the purpose of "alibi Jews" promoting anti semitism.  But in this case, it is very unlikely given more compelling reasons for the uprising:

" With Ukraine on the brink of invasion and division, most people in Kiev blame the country's troubles on the former president. "This is Yanukovych's fault," Zhenia, a pensioner, said, surveying the battleground in Institutska Street, where many were gunned down. She was crying.
Nearby, visitors bowed before makeshift brick shrines, some decorated with gas masks and helmets. Others crossed themselves. One child's drawing said: "Eternal glory to the heroes".
According to those who took part in it, the uprising was a broad-based grassroots movement, launched by people fed up with Yanukovych and involving all sections of society. Some demonstrators were indeed nationalists. Others were liberals, socialists and libertarians. There were Christians and atheists. There were workers from the provinces, as well as IT geeks from Kiev more at home with MacBooks than molotovs.
Its victims were a diverse bunch. The first was an ethnic Armenian; another Russian."

Even Russians involved.  Of course Russians are some of the experts on exaclty how corrupt--and manipulative--Russia can be.

"Yanukovych had just announced that he was dumping Ukraine's preparations to sign an association agreement with the European Union."

 Oh, that dastardly European Union!  And now we come to the crux of why  the Tin Foil brigade is being mobilized to defend Russian propaganda:  To fight those New World Order Illumiati Jews.

A brief scanning of the timeline on Wikipedia will show only a delusional fool can insist on believing Russia is only acting to defend ethnic Russians from "oppression ":

On February 24, 2014, Russian Special Forces^[38][39] without insignia arrived^[40] on the Crimean peninsula in Ukraine. They seized control of the Crimea region.^[41]

Russian authorities disputed that the forces were Russian military.[42

If they're there to protect ethnic Russians, then why was Russia slow to admit to the action?

In Kiev, Kerry seemed surprised by a reporter's question about Putin's remarks earlier Tuesday.
"He really denied there are troops in Crimea?" he asked, interrupting the question.

Ah, a non denial, denial:  "We didn't do it, but if we are doing it, it's because of a noble cause."
The idea that Russia is "protecting " anyone, is right out of Putin's mouth:

A statement from the Kremlin said Putin emphasized to Obama the existence of “real threats” to the life and health of Russian citizens and compatriots who are in Ukrainian territory. The statement indicated that Russia might send its troops not only to the Crimea but also to predominantly ethnic Russian regions of eastern Ukraine.
“Vladimir Putin emphasized that, in the case of a further spread in violence in eastern regions (of Ukraine) and Crimea, Russia maintains the right to protect its interests and the Russian-speaking population that lives there,” the Kremlin statement said.

Obama even diplomatically  pretends he thinks Putin is not lying, and offers a saner solution:

Obama told Putin that he would support sending international monitors to Ukraine to help protect ethnic Russians.

I'm also starting to suspect that Russia is pulling a Koch brothers stunt.

Oh, they've been doing it for years. Witness the comments below the line on any of the recent articles about Russia's homophobic legislation.

I really don't understand what they're trying to achieve. NO ONE takes any notice of the bottom half of the internet.

Do they send a report back to the FSB "We have successfully infiltrated a small cohort of bored office workers and shut-ins with our propaganda. Victory to Mother Russia!".

Substitute "small cohort of bored office workers and shut-ins" with washed up "truthers" on Facebook pinning for the glory days, and they nailed it fair and square.

That veteran webwarriors from the "Truth" movement are pushing Putin's propaganda is depressing, but not unexpected.  Russia Today embracing "truther" stories almost from day one was always suspect.   I personally believe the people who run Russian Today also know the "truth" movement is a fraud.  But maybe they think they're demoralizing the USA by having conspiracy bobble heads claim the US government is run by Jews?  

If so, they didn't understand exactly how fringe the "truth" movement is.  If Russia Today had reached market penetration no later than 2004, maybe 2006, things might have been different.  Hell,they might have done some good by sheer force of "dumb luck", by say promoting the Feal Good foundation.   

But RT didn't get traction pushing "truther"/Ron Paul news until 2009, and the writing was already on the wall for the "truth" movement.  Any potential critical mass of Americans to manipulate to undermine the presidency or American politics to the tune of Russian propaganda had long since left by 2007-2008.

When Russia Today launched in 2005, its operators insisted that despite being funded by the Russian government, the news outlet would function independently of Moscow. The channel even rebranded to simply RT in 2009 to avoid being seen as an entirely Russian news network.

 On Wednesday, however, RT seemingly dropped all pretense of being editorially independent, by praising Russian President Vladimir Putin’s highly controversial annexation of Crimea.

This can't end well.
