Webster Tarpley himself.[1] Arabesque supports the warning shortly after is posted on 911blogger with his own research[2] but later updates the post with a link to his article on the Kennebunkport Warning controversy stating, "[although] the Warning in my opinion has merit, there is considerable controversy over the signatures and the divisive language coming from the promoters of the warning."[3] Arabesque supplied his evidence to support the warning because
none was initially provided by Webster Tarpley. A user commented "[there] are high-profile names here, and the message is important. However, without including the evidence that's mentioned in the first sentence, I'm afraid it will sound paranoid and alarmist to those who aren't already worried about another false flag event from Cheney's crew."[4] Later, Tarpley released the "massive evidence" in word document files on http://actindependent.org/:

In the following years more evidence points to the Kennebunkport Warning Hoax being much more of a hoax than initially thought.   All of the personal information was obtained from a couple of people running multiple confidence games and a couple "targets" were most certainly part of the scam as years later they have no problem doing radio shows with the people pushing the hoax.   In a rare instance of sanity, all copies of Tarpley's Cooper Union speech with these ridiculous accusations of "COINTELPRO" have been removed from the Internet.   Unfortunately for the scammers, there are still private copies.

This time line was a private project I was involved with.  I'd forgotten DL Abramson had gone all "God Father" on Cosmos.  Truly pathetic, as most of the hoax was.  But it did serve one purpose:  to isolate and identify the non-Nazis involved in 9/11 Truth, and to reinforce the idea of "agents out there".  UNfortunately it was only a matter of time before someone figured out:

1. All the "mysterious" information was traceable to a handful of people playing confidence game frauds in the "truth" movement.
2. Meaning there were never "agents" or "shills"

leading to the inevitable conclusion

3. The entire "Truth" movement was a fraud.
and most importantly,
4. Everyone involved in a leadership capacity was lying.

Perry Logan pokes holes in the "Truther" Conspiracy Frame

I dimly remember Perry Logan from back in the DZ 911blogger days.  He was quirky and snarky, but never had the trademark condescension indulged in by the owners of SLC.   He was at one time a regular at JREF 911 conspiracy subforum and had the distinction of being(to my mind) mysteriously banned.  Especially considering his behavior in debunking never included working with frauds harassing  family  members or spreading obvious lies invented by Holocaust deniers, something SLC has done wittingly or not.  

Another one of Logan's charms was he was a self identified lefty.  Personally I always suspected that's what got him banned from a place that was a haven for Right Libertarians.  But I really don't know what happened, and Logan himself seems to harbor no ill will against the JREF forum as an institution since he was promoting it well into 2010.   I wish he'd stayed more involved because he was a voice of level headed reason in a crowd of "debunkers" trying to pass of invective as well reasoned talking points.   It takes a certain maturity to realize the short term satisfaction of lobbing pot shots doesn't win hearts and minds.

At OpEd news Logan makes excellent points in some comments on why the "truther" conspiracy is a flawed narrative:

 Problems with the Truther "official story":

1) If 9/11 had been an inside job, they would have pinned it on Saddam Hussein, not bin Laden. We know that Bush-Cheney used 9/11 to get us into Iraq. But if they, or elements within the Administration, had planned the operation, they would have framed Saddam. We would have invaded Iraq in a heartbeat--with no embarrassing stuff about WMDs.
2) If 9/11 had been an inside job, Bush and Cheney wouldn't have been so discombobulated after the planes hit. Bush went into brainlock, and Cheney was in an absolute panic. This doesn't fit with any 9/11 scenario.
3) If 9/11 had been an inside job, there would have been more bogus domestic terror attacks after 9/11. I say this because this is exactly what most 9/11 Truthers repeatedly predicted after 9/11, though they don't talk about it much now. Radio host Alex Jones (a fellow Austinite) has been wrongly predicting more domestic terror attacks ever since 9/11. That's nine straight years of wrong predictions! The Truthers' predictions were wrong because their theory is wrong.
4) If 9/11 were an inside job, they wouldn't have shut down Wall Street. Most Truthers say that international bankers were behind 9/11. But 9/11 shut down Wall Street. International bankers would never fund a project that shut down Wall Street! They would have told the planners to find another target.
5) If 9/11 had been an inside job, the Truthers could agree on the basic elements of the story. If you study the Truther phenomenon, you will soon discover that virtually every Truther has a different version of what went on on 9/11. If there were really "tons of evidence," as Truthers are wont to say, the Truthers could agree on at least a few elements of the story. (Example: 9/11 Truthers do not even agree that 9/11 was an inside job. There is a theory known as LIHOP--let it happen on purpose--which does not posit that 9/11 was an inside job.)

I'm not 100% sold on #5.  Many credible communities disagree on minor or even major points, though over times this usually fades as more information is known.   But #s 1 through 4 are golden. 

#1:  Why waste time in Afghanistan if they could have pinned it on Saddam in the first place?  Aspects of this have been pointed out by others, specifically the bait and switch in "Truth" propaganda between the Afghan war and the Iraq war.  

 #2: One could make an argument that Bush and Cheney were really, really good actors, but if it had been an "Inside Job", the best way to capitalize on the situation and sell themselves would be to TAKE CHARGE.  Though obviously rehearsed, this would have solidified their political grip, even impressed the Democrats. 

#3: Point three speaks directly to the Alex Jones/LaRouche/Tarpley habit of predicting WORLD WAR "X" ANY DAY NOW.  Oops, nevermind.    It's a tactic not uncommon in extreme religious organizations to radicalize and brainwash followers.  It works rather less well on a decentralized Internet platform, which didn't stop them from trying.  Logan's point about them not talking about it so much is spot on.  Droves of leftists and antiwar people have abandoned the "truth" movement as a sham and in no small part of the failed augers like Alex Jones.  This if nothing else proves the so called leaders were just making it up as they went along.

#4:  THIS.  So this.  If the Bankers are behind it and it involves money, no way would they agree to LOSE money.

Mr. Logan has other good points, flaws in logic that do more to get someone to question the conspiracy confidence game than any mockery at SLC ever did:

 

Planning a hoax: Truthers love to find apparent absurdiites, contradictions, and absurdities in the "official story" of 9/11. But these anomalies do not suggest a conspiracy. Quite the contrary.
If you're planning a hoax, you want your cover story to be as believable as possible. If people see through your story, you're screwed and the whole operation is a failure.
This applies to the behavior of the Secret Service. If 9/11 had been an inside job, the smart thing to do would be to whisk the President away in the prescribed manner.
Another example is the fall of WTC7. It fell hours after the planes hit, and in a way that looking like CD to uninformed people (actually, it did not fall in the manner of controlled demolition, but never mind). No one planning the operation would do this. They would destroy Building 7 right along with the other ones, so as not to arouse suspicions.
When you get too many anomalies, it does not add up to a conspiracy. Just the opposite. The conspirators would not concoct a crazy cover story for such a big job.

These are worth repeating:

Logan has punctured the bubble in which the conspiracy scam operates.  While irregularities in evidence certainly should be examined and explained, they do not automatically equal deception.  And if they do, they will be discovered by credible researchers with a solid track record, not web-warriors who have watched one too many Alex Jones reruns.

Redemption Reincarnated: Early fringe scam promoting 911 "Truth" returns?

It sounds like a drug invented by a dystopian author. The reality is infinitely worse:

The redemption movement consists of supporters of an American conspiracy theory.^[1] Redemption theory involves claims that when the U.S. government abandoned the gold standard in 1933, it pledged its citizens as collateral so that it could borrow money. Other theories claim this happened in 1913 with the establishment of the Federal Reserve System. The movement also asserts that common citizens can gain access to funds in secret accounts using obscure procedures and regulations.
According to the theory, the government created a fictitious person (or "straw man") corresponding to each newborn citizen with bank accounts initially holding $630,000. The theory further holds that through obscure procedures under the Uniform Commercial Code, a citizen can "reclaim" the straw man and write checks against its accounts.^[2]
There have been many well-publicized convictions of citizens attempting to take advantage of this theory. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) regards the instructors and promoters of Redemption schemes as fraudsters^[3] while the Internal Revenue Service has included the "straw man" claim in its list of frivolous positions that may result in the imposition of a $5,000 penalty^[4] when used as the basis for an inaccurate tax return.^[5]

While the Redemption Movement existed before the 9/11 attacks, it was one of the many early platforms to push the "Truth", proving the movement's origins in the fringe radical right:

"Robert Kelly, publisher of The American's Bulletin, covers an array of antigovernment themes even as he pushes redemption in his newspaper's pages. In the last year, Kelly's paper also has been rife with attacks on the IRS (the "Illegal Regiment of Satan"), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, and the federal judiciary.
Alongside ubiquitous ads for redemption materials were articles asserting that the "9/11 Attack was an Inside Job" and pointing to the USA Patriot Act as further proof that the American government is at war against its own citizens."

 What's the point of this scam?  one might ask.  No one's going to get away with it and the people pushing the scam don't appear to benefit directly financially.   Turns out they're not after money; they're after recruits.  Recruits radical enough to use bullets.  Failing that, they tried to homebrew them:

"They all end up losing," Levitas said of the redemptionists who pursue such court battles. "But a certain percentage become highly radicalized as part of the process, and that creates a new pool of more militant people. It's a great sifting mechanism for determining who is willing to take it to the next level. ... The Patriot movement has a track record of recruiting people based on paper activism and transforming them into those who would use bullets instead."

I can confirm several incidents of people trying to manipulate or coerce me into adopting or excepting extremist tactics:  In one instance, after concerns about the security of an event and organizer suggested he had lots of friends who could bring guns.  Overkill much?  Another time, an alleged leftist (and confirmed conartist) repeatedly pushed an article calling for people to mass in the streets throwing rocks, etc.  That's likely.

 Unfortunately, in the Truth Movement scam sold to leftists, this appears to confirm it really is a legitimate anti-war group because we know there's a history of government sponsored provocatours in the anti war movement.    So even if the mark is unusable, like me, they still have "sold" the frame: that the scam has a legitimate basis.   The people attempting to dismis

But they do succeed occasionally.   Captain Eric May, running a fraudulent "intelligence" group called Ghost Troop, hit pay dirt:

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- To most, the evidence against alleged Holocaust Museum shooter James von Brunn may seem overwhelming.

Surveillance camera video.
Eyewitness accounts.
Von Brunn's red Hyundai parked outside.
Ballistics.
But to some people in Von Brunn's e-mail chain and Web circles, there's a darker truth.
They say the June 10 shooting at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum may be a "false flag" operation. The incident could have been staged by one group, perhaps what they describe as the Jewish-controlled U.S. government, to make it appear to be the actions of another group -- in this case, von Brunn and others who believe Jews exercise too much control in the United States.
In other words, von Brunn could have been set up, they contend.
Where others see meaningless coincidence, members of "Ghost Troop," an online group of writers and investigators bent on disproving official versions of the September 11, 2001, attacks and other major events, have a penchant for seeing what they argue is meaningful evidence. Where others see the smoke of understandable and inevitable inconsistency, they see fire.

Ghost Troop members are trying to build the case that von Brunn, an ardent believer in conspiracy theories, was himself the victim of a conspiracy.
Ghost Troop's center of focus until now has been the 2001 terrorist attacks. The museum shooting has opened yet another window into the thinking of a group that believes many highly public and publicized events are rarely what they appear to be.
"It's possible that he [von Brunn] might have been enticed to the Holocaust Museum," said Ghost Troop member William Fox. Fox said that Israeli intelligence agents could have shot security officer Stephen Johns, then shot von Brunn, then planted the rifle.
"Today's shootings at the DC Holocaust Museum bear some of the classic earmarks of a false flag operation," wrote conspiracy theorist Eric May on the Web site amfirstbooks.com.
"Mind you, I'm not asserting that this is a false flag operation, but neither am I discounting the possibility. I exhort Internet researchers to look into this carefully and publish results," May wrote.
An Embassy of Israel official in Washington, informed of the Ghost Troop speculation, declined comment, saying it deserved none.

Brunn is obviously a violent fool, but he was also a tool.  It's doubtful by himself he would have taken these actions if he wasn't being fed a steady deliberate stream of conspiracy garbage designed to work people up.  It fits the pattern described by SPLC: 

"The Patriot movement has a track record of recruiting people based on paper activism and transforming them into those who would use bullets instead." 

May has a history of working closely with con artists and Holocaust Deniers, and is almost certainly lying through his teeth when he stated to CNN:

 In an interview Friday, May said that von Brunn corresponded with him from 2006 to 2009, and distributed May's writings to others. But von Brunn was not a Ghost Troop member, May said.
"I came to regard him as one of my readers and critics," May said. "I believe he was an eccentric and brilliant man. I thought he was bigoted. We shared many views, but his view [on race] is not one of them."
May said he was initially surprised by von Brunn's alleged involvement in the museum shooting, saying that von Brunn "never threatened direct action, although he sometimes commented or made allusions to how there needs to be an uprising."
Now, May said, his "theory, but not conviction [is] that this was a staged event, a contrived shooting."

Neat bit of dancing that, eh?  Encourage people to "take up arms", then, when they do and get caught, pretend not to know them, and use them to promote the "false flag" conspiracy.   

Hell, Webster Tarpley did this to himself during the "Kennebunkport Hoax"; once it was clear his not so anonymous video harassment campaign by proxy wasn't having the desired effect(ie, it was not being sold as a grassroot effort, but, correctly, being traced right back to him and other high profile frauds), he claimed his video calling people duped in the Truth Movement "cointelpro" was itself a hoax.  Soon after this video disappeared from the internet.  (It's amazing what these frauds can do when they're motivated.  Pity "Killtown" and company can't get a clue.)

Last note on May:  he claims to not share Brunn's veiws on "Da Jews", but this is a lie:

Edward Lewis Brown (born 1942) and his wife, Elaine Alice Brown (born c. 1940), residents of the state of New Hampshire, gained national news media attention in early 2007 for not paying the U.S. federal income tax and for refusing to surrender to federal government agents after having been convicted of tax crimes.^[1] After the conviction and sentencing, a long, armed standoff with federal law enforcement authorities at their New Hampshire residence ended with the arrest of Edward and Elaine Brown on October 4, 2007.^[2][3][4] In July 2009, while serving their sentences for the tax crimes, the Browns were found guilty by a federal district court jury of additional criminal charges arising from their conduct during the standoff.

December 23rd, 2013, marks the 100^th anniversary of the Federal Reserve, warranting a review of its performance.  Has it achieved the purposes for which it was designed?

The answer depends on whose purposes we are talking about.  For the banks, the Fed has served quite well.  For the laboring masses whose populist movement prompted it, not much has changed in a century.

It muddles along for a bit, the usual mix of fact and conspiracy, until we get to the point:

It may be time for a new populist movement, one that demands that the power to issue money be returned to the government and the people it represents; and that the Federal Reserve be made a public utility, owned by the people and serving them. The firehose of cheap credit lavished on Wall Street needs to be re-directed to Main Street.

After all the abuses of Wall Street, this sounds temptingly reasonable.  Unfortunately it's being pushed on a website now commited to supporting outright hoaxes and frauds, making me question Ellen's agenda.  I absolutely do not trust her.  True she has a profile on Huffo,

It is possible some of the people involved are themselves victims of a scam, but my experience tells me the lawyer of the group is always in on it:

Is this "Redemption" all over again?  Or is it something more insidious? 

While it appeals to the fringe's blaming "bankers" (Jews) for the nation's troubles, there seems to be less of a push to get people to do things that will get them arrested and violently radicalised.

 This "Redemption" incarnation seems packaged to be sold to the reasonable left, not the radical right.     Pity they chose a sales man from the fringe right(Fetzer), because that's the first flag Ellen Brown is probably a fraud, a person pretending to left, progressive values, while knowingly pushing a fringe right agenda. 

 Whatever is going on, the Public Banking Institute is not being honest about who they are and what interests they represent.

Changes: Because Nazi friendlies don't get to get away with it

Happy New Year!   And an exciting year it will be!

Perhaps more exciting than the Sandy Hook Hoax scam.    Because this year, assuming the "truth" scammers  carry on being as dense as a ton of retarded bricks, everything I know about the "Truth" scam goes public.

Not all at once.  And not necessarily in every detail here.  But it will be found in many places.

The fact is for the last couple of years I've been leaking information to journalists and anti racist groups, usually anonymously.     Que accusations of being a government agent, probably of Jewish extraction.  Yawn.

First lesson girls and boys:  there are no government agents in the 9/11 "Truth" movement.  That is a scare tactic to keep you entangled in circular he-said/she-said conflicts.  It also discourages people from reporting the most egregious and sometimes criminal behavior they witness or are targeted with:  if you believe its an "agent" they think they'll play into the agent's hand.  Take a deep breath, exhale....and report it however appropriate(dial 911, email the hosting provider, file a complaint to their email service, etc).  The person screwing with you is not an agent.  They are either a conman/conwoman or some one just as manipulated and confused as you.

Aside for "debunkers" thinking they are "fighting the terrorists" by trolling  or engaging "truthers"(as opposed to debunkers simply refuting "theories"):      There are as many Al Qaida terrorists in the "truth" movement as there are government agents.  In other words, none. 

To be accurate, I should say nearly none to both  of those cases.  I'm sure there are a handful of feds monitoring the right wing militia wackos who litter the movement.  And terrorist sympathizers would find "truther" propaganda useful.  But this is not the point of the "movement".  The 9/11 truth Movement is a front to politically organize the radical and racist far right.

But, of course, they can't lead with that slogan:

"Wanted: White People committed to blaming Jews for 9/11 to vote for Ron Paul"

To sell it to a wide base, it has to be couched in anti war, leftist rhetoric.    This was easy during the Iraq war under Bush.  A bit harder under Obama, him being a black man, and thus offending the core racist base.     Ergo the move, spearheaded by Larouche, to claim Obama was as bad as Bush.

The problem with using left political rhetoric, slogans and ideas is, um...well, the obvious: they set themselves up to get leftists interested in what they had to say.  And if they set up their con well(and for several years they did), those leftists are going to get involved and expect them to walk the lefty anti-racist talk.  And they'll be very unhappy when the movement "leaders" refuse to denounce, and kick out the racists(Barrett, Fetzer, Bollyn, Thorn, Dice, Tarpley, etc, ad nausum).   

Someone didn't think that one through.

Is this arrogance?  Stupidity?   Some individuals actually believed they had a chance of "tricking" people into accepting Holocaust Denial, just to keep their support for a little longer.  Really.

Okay, while I know these people are running a con, this is also indicative of a severe breakdown in rational thinking processes.    It would be like me befriending a Hammerskin racist(which would never happen because  my "mutt" genes are obvious, but go with it a mo), pretending to share his values, then, after several months, suggesting he listen to MLK's "I have a Dream" speech with an open mind....and expecting positive results.   I would never be so delusional to think this would work.

Yet "truther" manipulators are that delusional.   Statistically I don't see how a mass of people can ALL have this basic personality defect; my working theory is they start off with mild disordered thought processes, and their association with crazies gives them a grandiose sense of entitlement and invincibility.   This certainly describes leading personalities like Fetzer and Barrett.

Leading to lesson number two:  If you joined the "truth" movement believing in anti war work and believe the "movement" can help with that, you are wrong.  The "truth" movement is a right-wing front.

If you think you can "save" it, you are still wrong.   There is nothing to save.  More importantly, there is no base to work from.  The leftist conned into it, like moi, have bailed.  Everyone remaining is either still conned or a con artist.  The numbers are grim.   Polling from my personal experience only 25% of the people I got to know well are NOT con artists.  Expanding my unscientific sampling to include people I encountered in the movement, that number drops down to 10%.    Meaning 90% of people I have personally observed in the movement are either scammers or so completely brainwashed by them as to make no difference.  In short, your efforts are doomed(Someone please tell Jon Gold).  Whatever valid criticisms exist about how Bush handled the 9/11 attacks, the "9/11 Movement" is never going to make a difference.    I plan a separate blog on this subject.   

Lesson three: By their propaganda, they will be known. These are common debate tactics used by scammers to refute complaints made about objectionable subjects:

Holocaust denial/revisionism:    "Free speech! Thought police! "Translation: we feel entitled to promote Jew hating propaganda. Also an attempt to shame/confuse member into thinking free speech means they can say anything the want.

Antisemitism:   "But the Palestinians!" 
Translation: cynical exploitation of the Palestinian struggle to excuse spreading Antisemitism

Right-wing spin:   "There is no right or left"
Translation: Libertarian ideology to mask their EXTREME right wing agenda.  A certain sign of a RIGHT-WING Libertarian or an unsophisticated person conned by the ideology.

 Any of these manipulations are a sign of a far right-wing ideology at work trying to pass itself off as something more acceptable to leftists and the mainstream.  In other words, its the sign of a CON.

Lesson Four:  the so called leaders( I mean people who created the theories  and make money off them)  are delusional.   All con artists have a certain amount of grandiosity; otherwise they wouldn't think they'd get away with cons.  But most are connected enough with reality to know their limits.    The 911 "Truth" leaders delusional grandiosity has grown to a point IMHO nothing less than intervention from the feds on fraud charges will stop them.(Or a good criminal conviction).  Hopefully, with more education and exposure, their funding will dry up.  Or they will be forced to rely more and more on illegal sources that will attract the attention of law enforcement.  

 Delusion comes in many forms. One of which is believing there will be no consequences.  Alas, this is not so.   An anomaly of the 9/11 Truth Movement political scam was moving in 2005-2006 to organize via the Internet and exploit the medium to attack ANYONE who questioned their strategy and goals.    Whole lists, now deleted for TOU violations or worse, are gone; others deleted to hide the premeditated malicious nature of these organizations.   I don't know if any political organization before or since has tried to exploit the Internet medium to punish people in their own groups that did not "play ball".   This is distinct from hounding public elected figures.  These people, most members of the American Patriot Friends Network, made it a mission to hound anyone who joined their groups(thanks to their own fake lefty propaganda, I might add) and had the slightest disagreement.

It seems the theory was the Internet was a great tool for bullying people out of the group because the material could be found by Internet searches.    And that's great short term planning for harassment.

Good long term planning?  Not so much.  Because by using a short term harassment strategy to spread lies across the Internet to make the person go away, they created a situation where in the long term the person will have no choice but to address the lies in question...because the lies are still there.

For the last several years reasonable attempts have been made to resolve issues with certain 911 scammers.  Here's one made 8 hours ago.  I'll delete it if I learn "Killtown" has actually deleted that blog post(do not hold breath):

 Because they refused to cooperate, this blog was conceived.   A couple of cases are in progress and might be resolved.   Those subjects I'll hold off covering until I'm sure there is no hope of resolution.

Meanwhile, "truther" scammers beware.
